Like the Main Mill, this building is an eye-catcher as you drive into the Village from Highway 62. Aptly named, this building is where the mill’s machinery and equipment were repaired and retooled. The two-story brick building is just over 3,000 square feet, and the second floor was filled with work tables, shelves, and bins for machine parts. This fall, we cleaned up the building, and it now empty inside. Photographs and old maps tell us that an auto garage used to stand on the southeast face of the building, and the concrete pad still exists just across from the Cotton Warehouse loading dock.
